I am a creative problem solver who loves working collaboratively to realize great products.

Background

After my childhood was marked by action figures, science-fiction movies and comics, I discovered my passion for creativity at a very early age.

My first own computer and the increasingly emerging internet allowed me to live out this creativity in many different ways. The endless possibilities to design and code my own websites offered me a perfect playground to live my passion. From that point on, my life was destined for a world of design and interaction.

My studies in information design, with a focus on interface and experience design as well as typography, provided me with the necessary foundation to make design my profession.

You can see — design is a matter of the heart for me. As a balance to this, I like to do sports and I enjoy hiking in the mountains.

My journey along the path of human-centered design and creative problem solving has taken different forms over the years, but my dedication to making people’s lives easier through great products has remained consistent. As a result, I have a very well-rounded skill set that I can draw upon to deliver exceptional user and employee experiences.

Over the last 10 years, I have worked on a variety of different digital products and brands for whom I have created a wide variety of projects. These covered the entire value chain between product and the intersection of user experience design, brand, and marketing.

Furthermore, I had the great pleasure to accompany other designers on their path in various ways, be it as a leader, mentor, or coach. For me, passing on knowledge and inspiring through my methods and experience is one of my greatest strengths.

Learning and Growing

I consider it a personal motivation to constantly expand my skills and knowledge. I enjoy learning new skills, approaches and methods and incorporating new and unfamiliar perspectives into my thought process.

I firmly believe that constant discovery and challenge enhances personal growth and most importantly helps to keep a finger on the pulse.

Reading, networking, being inspired by science-fiction, trainings, and trying to experience great design are just some of the ways I try to take my quality and effectiveness to the next level.

These are some of the books  I’ve read in the last couple of months which I can highly recommend.
